As Cable Operators evolve into full service carriers, business phone service to SMBs offers an attractive and lucrative new opportunity. Expansion into business phone requires new technical capabilities, product expertise and support. In addition, Operators must be able to provide a better product than the ILEC at a lower price.

NGT AND OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES
NGT will assist the Operator in building a cost-effective and full-featured suite of solutions targeting the SMBs. The Operator is responsible for customer-related activities such as sales, account management and account receivables. The Operator also provides the last mile connectivity. The last mile can either be HFC, fiber, or wireless networks.

NGT provides CLEC services, back office support ervices, customer care support, and other elements necessary to deliver a proven and scalable service NGT also provides a wide range of value added services such as toll free service, conferencing services, unified messaging, customer installation support and CPE procurement and fulfillment.

NGT CABLE ARCHITECTURE
The NGT network is designed for high reliability, full functionality and scale. To achieve our design goals, NGT’s network is comprised of high-quality elements such as BroadSoft BroadWorks™ for a superior switching platform; Level3 for nationwide and international PSTN coverage; and Arris and Polycom to provide CPE solutions. Our systems also include automated provisioning tools, geographically diverse and redundant infrastructure, and multiple IP and PSTN paths to ensure high call quality.
